Case Studies

Client: Recently Laid Off Manager
Objective: Setup Home Office
Time Frame: 12 hours

After being laid off, this client decided to explore job opportunities that would allow him to work from home. In order to do so effectively, we created a fully equipped home office in his apartment.

After:
  • Re-positioned the office equipment to minimize the impact on the living space
  • Set up in/out boxes for improved management of paper flow on desk
  • Set up files and filed paperwork
  • De-cluttered desk and bookshelves
  • Re-arranged closets to make office supplies and household goods more accessible
Before:
  • Newly added office equipment was overcrowding the existing computer desk and was encroaching on the living room
  • The desk was cluttered with papers and personal items
  • Paperwork had been collected in a carton and not filed
  • Overflow from the desk was stacked on built-in bookshelves adjacent to the desk
  • Nearby closets were overflowing with household goods and office supplies

Client Reaction:“I can work so much more efficiently in my home office now that it has been re-organized and, most important, it only takes up one corner of my living room!"
