Donations

At The Organizing Zone, we always recommend the 3 R's to our clients - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.  Donate unwanted clothing or household items to one of the worthy organizations that will sell them to raise money for the less fortunate. 

Art Supplies

Donate supplies to Materials for the Arts which provides New York City's arts and cultural organizations, public schools and community arts programs with the supplies needed to run and expand their programs. Visit www.mfta.org for more information.

Bicycles

Donate bicycles, bike parts, tools and other related items to Recycle-a-Bicycle which promotes everyday bicycle use to New City’s youngsters. Visit www.recycleabicycle.com

Children’s Clothing/Equipment

Donate clothing, products and equipment for infants and small children to families in need. For a list of accepted items, visit www.babybuggy.org

Coats

Each December NY Cares conducts a coat drive to collect warm coats for those in need. Visit www.nycares.org for more information.

Eyeglasses

Collected eyeglasses are cleaned, repaired and measured to determine the correction and in many cases sent to other countries. Glasses are collected by The Lions Clubs, LensCrafters and Pearle Vision

Household Items

Unwanted household items can be donated to Goodwill Industries (www.goodwill.org) for sale in their retails stores and online and to The Salvation Army (www.salvationarmyusa.org) for sale in their thrift stores.

Men’s Clothing

Donate suits to Career Gear whose goal is to help men find jobs and keep them. Visit www.careergear.org for details.

Skis/Snowboards

Determine the best method for donating your used skis or snowboard that are still in good condition.  Learn more at Trails.com.

Towels/Bedding

Donate old towels, sheets, quilts, bath mats, and throw rugs to the ASPCA. For more information, visit www.aspca.org
